Dinner Party!

Saturday was Mom's birthday. Sunday I had her, Dad and Aaron over for dinner after church. This was my first official "dinner party" I made a potatoe casserole dish, ham, creamed corn and bean salad. All staples that I've helped Mom make many times. It went really well. I also made a double layer chocolate cake. Dad was impressed that I made the cake from scratch. I'm not sure WHY. I *never* bake from a box. Anyways, hopefully I'll be brave enough to try having others over now.

Okay, the cake photo just is not fair. I've been inexplicably craving chocolate cake for three days.

And I like your dishes. They remind me of the ones I got after I graduated college.

My first dinner for my parents involved my first whole chicken. I called Mom three times that morning, LOL! I have a photo of it in one of my albums. Glad it all went well for you. :-)

Looks like a great first dinner experience. And, it appears as though we can all stop over for leftover chocolate cake? Hope so....let me go find my lear jet pilot and I'll be right over, ok?
